Privacy Policy
Water Drop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Overview
Water Drop is a macOS menu bar application developed by Good Bar. It is designed to help you track your daily water intake. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app with privacy as a core principle.
Data Collection
Water Drop does not collect any data. Specifically:
- No personal information is collected
- No usage analytics or telemetry is collected
- No health data is shared with third parties
- No advertising identifiers are used
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used
Data Storage
All app data — including your daily water count, daily goal, and settings — is stored locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
The following information is stored locally:
- Your current water count for the day
- Your daily goal setting
- Your launch-at-login preference
- The current date (to reset the count at midnight)
Network Access
Water Drop does not connect to the internet. The app does not make any network requests and does not require an internet connection to function.
Third-Party Services
Water Drop does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond the standard macOS system frameworks provided by Apple.
App Sandbox
Water Drop runs within the macOS App Sandbox, which limits the app's access to system resources and other apps. The app only accesses what it needs to function: displaying a menu bar icon, showing a popover, and storing preferences locally.
Children's Privacy
Water Drop does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since Water Drop does not collect data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
